November 5, 2007 Newsletter
Hello:
The stock market continues to amaze us with its resilience in light of the sub-prime mortgage mess. It probably hasn’t hurt that the Federal Reserve has not only lowered interest rates but presumably will continue to do so to allow a soft landing for the economy (despite some backpedaling rumors at its quarter point cut-last week).
Some excellent trades have been percolating recently not least of which are the China stocks which have been especially strong with some of them displaying the “stock bubble” qualities of the China economy. Solar stocks have also been some of our best performers over the last few months and a Chinese solar stock Yingli Energy Holdings (YGE) is right up there near the top with a 75% gain in 6 weeks since being posted in the trading pond report.

Here’s another hot solar stock originally posted in the trading pond report in April that survived a re-test of the breakout zone a month later and is up over a 100% in 6 months. The strength of the pattern quality of some of these solar stocks has been particularly impressive.

The underlying long-term fundamentals of many of these stocks, even those lacking earnings presently, creates the excellent pattern quality as prior consolidation zones when re-tested act as support and additional accumulation comes in as bargain hunters who know a good thing when they see it climb aboard.
One of the top remaining solar stocks that has yet to complete its super-cycle and with a little luck in the next few months may just do so is Trina Solar Ltd. (TSL). Its impressive momentum through the first few legs leaves no doubt of the strength of this stock. We nailed this stock for a 75% run in June and hope to do much better on this upcoming leg if the timing is right. We pride ourselves in the trading club on near perfect entries and with any luck we may nail this one as it is one of the best charts in the market right now and as you may know by now-stocks with excellent trading patterns lend a higher level of predictability to their breakouts.

And now, in our “Well, you don’t see this very often” department…
Instant replay in the DJIA! Is this the kickoff of the new bull market?
Daryl Thompson here. Take a look at the candlestick chart of the DJIA (see below). Last week's Thursday and Friday action was almost identical to the two-day Friday and Monday action back on October 19 and 22. Big dark candle to the downside, signaling a possible market crash the next trading day, and in fact scaring the bejesus out of everyone the next morning with severe weakness, only to recover during the day and form Hammers at the close.
The DJIA chart is flashing what could be an almost perfect "W" double bottom, and we could see a nice bounce this week - if not the start of the historically strong November - May run. After all, the bears have had two great chances to bring this market down, and both times the market has bounced right back. Maybe the bears are about to go into hibernation?

As far as the Nasdaq is concerned, it's had six days of pretty solid distribution in October, but the chart is still angling northward, and Friday's candle is a Doji in a pullback, usually a bottoming signal.
Therefore, I’m feeling pretty bullish this week.

Life Threatening Disease is Pandemic
Look at the symptoms below and see how many you can identify in your life.
1. Tired
2. Stressed for time
3. Confused
4. Depressed
5. Feeling out-of-control
6. Not having enough money to live
7. Feeling lonely
Although the above symptoms could indicate a few different medical problems, you may actually be suffering from something very curable.
The mentioned symptoms relate to a person not having specific goals and action steps for their desires in life. The more precise plan-of-action with your life, the more calm you'll be and have a sense of more time on hand.
If you would like to alleviate the negative symptoms and create your dreams into a reality, create a plan of action and then jump into life--Do It Now!
Some people want to see the world without getting off their front porch. Some people want to achieve great things without creating a plan with specific action steps. Either way, it's foolhardy to want more without taking action.
If all a person needs to do is create a plan and then Keep Going until it's achieved, why doesn't everyone create their dream life? Most people are afraid of life. They make many different excuses on why something isn't possible or talk themselves out of great opportunities with the thought of "Playing it safe."
I like what the famous filmmaker, Robert Altman said, "To play it safe is not to play."
If you look at any successful person (in any walk of life) the individual took many chances. Sometimes they put everything on the line for the dream and sure enough, it came true. What would have happened to people like Oprah Winfrey, Thomas Edison, Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Ghandi, and many others if they didn't risk everything and go for their dream? What would all of our lives be like today, if it wasn't for these brave individuals and all of the other great people who courageously stepped into their lives?
Susan was talking with me one day and stated, "Dr. Duckett I don't know what to do with my life. What do you suggest I do?" I said, "Susan, if a person doesn't know specifically what to do with his or her life, it's best to do something that you're passionate about and see where life leads you." Susan then asked, "How can I identify what I'm passionate about?" I laughed and said, "Anything that you enjoy can be considered a passion." As the conversation went on, Susan asked me one final question, "What if I can't make enough money to earn a living at what I'm passionate about? Looking deep within her eyes I said, "Susan, if you do what you're passionate about, life will always unfold the means for you to make money--either directly or indirectly relating to your passion.
Susan decided to open her own business (Contracting Nannies) which generates over three million dollars annually.
Yes, It Can Happen For You. Not matter what you desire out of life, if you're willing to take a risk on yourself and your dreams, you can and will make it just like the rest of us have.
People have said to me for years, "Dr. Duckett, I would love to do what you do. You create life technology, write books, and travel the world teaching others. I would love to have your job." I always respond the same way, "Then Do It Now! Go and become whatever it is you like about what I do. Create a specific plan of action and you will become exactly what you desire."
It isn't that you don't know what to do. The real problem is most people won't do what they know needs to be done.
The best advice anyone can give in this life to another is to become your true self. This is the self you desire to be more than anything else. There really is only one of you on the entire planet. There is only one expression of your contribution to the world. Whatever that contribution is will benefit all of life because that is how it works--everything is related. If you don't allow yourself to blossom into your desires, you rob all of us of that aspect of life.
Here's a quick way to create a winning plan for your life:
1. Decide. Decide what you want. Make a list of ten things you truly enjoy doing. Regardless of whether you can make a living at it, just list what you love to do. These are the things you can be passionate about at this time in your life. Now prioritize your list from one through ten with one being the most and ten being the least favorite. The number one, two, or three is going to be the one to do the next steps on.
2. Action. What are ten BIG action steps or things you would need to do to start doing your passion as a full time business. For example: Doing research; contacting a mentor; acquiring necessary finances, etc.
3. Schedule. Take each BIG action step and break it down into the smallest action steps possible. These steps are what will be necessary to complete the BIG action step toward your passion. Put each of these small action steps on an appointment book with a date and time that you will complete the small action step at hand.
4. Be it. Be brave; be courageous; confront yourself and the action steps-whether you feel like it or not; no matter what, force yourself if necessary but complete the action step at the designated time.
5. Enjoy. After doing the above, enjoy the good life of living your desires. That is the recipe for extreme success and sanity in any endeavor in life.
Could success really be that simple? Ask any successful person and he or she will tell you that is the exact procedure that all accomplished people have used for eons of time. Actually you're about to find out how much easier it is to live a successful life compared to a life of struggling.
I enjoy being a part of your week and look forward to our next time together. Until next time, I am
In Loving Service,
Dr. Michael J. Duckett
