Hello,

Taking a short-term approach to trading when the overall market conditions are tentative as they have been recently can be very rewarding as the momentum can often be accelerated on market bounces as the indexes sort out areas of support and resistance. These bounces can become quite pronounced when the right stock meets the right news story at the right time.
Let me explain what I mean by that. A stock trading pattern that has already suggested that it is in an area of basing and has recently demonstrated its potential via a “momentum signature” (a specific mathematical formula we use based on the stock’s price and/ or its level of liquidity) can take off in a big way when the overall market bounces. These stocks appear almost “spring loaded” thus we call them “bottomspringers” and in the lower price ranges they can produce phenomenal short term gains.
Last week SCON topped out for a 300%+ gain in a few weeks on news of a major investment in the company by a Chinese firm. Right on cue the stocks prices broke out just a few days after the indexes found major price support a month after reaching a market top in July. These support zones can produce some phenomenal “bottomspringing” stocks during these market bounces. A few others that came along in the last few weeks are: CTDC +70% in 1 day, AGIX +72.65% in 4 days, DRL +46.96% in 5 days, INVC +60.21% in 4 days, SGN +52.88% in 7 days, CRDC +40.15% in 1 day, XTLB +40.23% in 1 day, LUM +100% in about 3 weeks. So who says you have to have optimal market conditions to snag some big winners in the market?
Although the heart of the Bottomspringers trading system is a longer term system with some trades lasting months (if not years with the right stock) and producing phenomenal long term gains, in the Bottomspringers trading club we keep ourselves busy with the in between areas of market malaise punctuated by these highly productive trading zones.
The Bottomspringers trading courses dive extensively into how to trade these longer term position and swing trades as well as the shorter term trades (see http://www.bottomspringers.com/more_info.htm).
This Week's Featured Article From Michael Duckett:
What If This Was It?
Have you ever played that game where you were asked, "If this was the last month of your life, what would you do with it?" Let me tell you one thing, "This is not a silly little game--it's an important check system for your life."
Your answer reveals what you feel are the most important things, at this time, in your life. It's these things that you should prioritize now to make you feel complete and accomplished.
I know of a man who went to his dermatologist in Augusta, Georgia to have an examination for a skin lesion. After an extensive examination and days of testing, the doctor found an aggressive melanoma cancer that had metastasized throughout the body via the lymph system.
First, the doctor explained to his patient that he was a very sick man who didn't have long to live. Then, the doctor asked the man, "What was one thing that you always dreamed of doing but never did?" The patient responded with a smile, "I always wanted to buy a motorcycle and just ride across the country." With that response, the doctor left the room and came back handing over a small key to the man. The doctor said, "This is the key to my Harley Davidson--it's yours! Take it wherever you want to go as long as you want."
The patient took the doctor up on his offer and upon returning three months later from his road trip, went in for a check up. The doctor could not believe the test results--there was no trace of the melanoma--it was completely gone! Numerous publications ran this story and medical journals were completely puzzled by the outcome.
When we hold ourselves back from living our lives to its fullest, we can become ill physically, mentally, spiritually, and materialistically. How do people hold themselves back from a better life? By not being courageous enough to do the things that would make life "right."
A "right" life is simply an existence that is in line with a person's physical, mental, spiritual, and material desires. A "right" life is within every person's capability but most people aren't willing to confront the things necessary that would manifest their dreams.
I have taught thousands of people about the Emotional/Spiritual Prototypes (ESP) and how to use this powerful system to quickly create your dream life. Unfortunately, many people learn the simple system that only takes a few minutes a day and then, these good hearted people never do anything with the knowledge. They don't even use the ESP technique to free themselves from their current burdens. Why don't they use this process?
To dream of a better life is easy. To create a better life takes just a little work. To change into a better life requires a large amount of courage. It is the latter that most people lack.
Unfortunately, only the courageous people ever get to live a fulfilled life. The good news is that courage can be learned. A person isn't born courageous, it's learned by decision coupled with action.
To become more courageous try this:
- Decide on something you've wanted to do but were afraid to proceed for any reason.
- Regardless how uncomfortable it is, make a decision to do the thing you were afraid of and set a specific date and time for it to happen.
- Follow through with your decision regardless of how scared or for whatever reason you create as a distraction.
- Enjoy the new level of life and the new dimension in your person.
This simple formula is one of the major keys to a more successful and happy life. Isn't it funny, when something is so simple and you already know the information, yet you don't do it? Well, it isn't really funny--it's sad. It's sad because many people live and die never fulfilling their dreams or financial levels of success because they avoid doing this simple four step process.
Have fun and play with your life. Take a chance. Step into an area where you have an interest but never dared to tread. As you experience the uncommon, you gain an uncommon happiness for life.
A miserable life is one that was never lived because of the excuses used to prevent a complete experience. Don't allow yourself to give excuses for not doing what you love--instead, find a way to Do It Now!
When you first experience the desired experience, it can be uncomfortable yet exciting. Remember, Keep Going and soon it will become second nature.
I encourage you to look at your life as if you were observing it from another person's perspective. Would this other person think you were experiencing life the way you truly desire it to be or just the way you allow it not to be? Remember, it can happen for you!
I enjoy being in your life and look forward to next week.
